Abstract:
Purpose: The survival rates of patients with body part cancers are well documented in several studies. Some studies have shown that However, the prognostic significance of neoplasm location with reference to survival remains polemic. By victimization knowledge from one medical man, we have a tendency to analysed patient survival rates supported carcinoma subsite location, as well as body part cancers. Methods: we have a tendency to retrospectively analysed 881 patients with body part cancers between 1987 and 2008. Colon subsite locations were outlined as cecum, colon, colon, colon, sigmoid flexure, and rectum. Subsite-specific survival analyses were performed using Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards ratios. The median follow-up time was ninety three months. Results: a complete of 689 body part cancer cases were enclosed in our analysis, of that fourteen were cavum (2.0%), ninety five were colon (13.8%), twenty one were colon (3.0%), twenty five were colon (3.6%), 129 were sigmoid flexure (18.7%), and 405 were body part (58.8%) cancers. The 5-year overall survival rates were seventy seven.8% for all body part cancers, that consisted of ninety two.9% for bodily cavity cancer, 69.5% for colon cancer, 76.2% for colon cancer, 84.0% for colon cancer, 82.2% for sigmoid flexure cancer, and 77.5% for body part cancer. Conclusion: colon cancer was related to the poorest survival outcome, whereas colon cancer was associated with the simplest survival outcome except bodily cavity cancer. Moreover, the survival rate related to left carcinoma was higher than the survival for right colon and body part cancer. eating.
