Abstract:

Peripheral odontogenic benign {tumor|benign tumour|nonmalignant tumor|nonmalignant tumour|nonmalignant neoplasm} (POF) could be a rare odontogenic tumor, characterised by a fibrous or fibromyxomatous proliferation that contains varied amounts of odontogenic or probable odontogenic epithelial tissue, sometimes with the presence of dentin or cement like bodies or different kinds of calcification. Peripheral odontogenic benign tumor is commonly misdiagnosed as fibrous epulis and simply confused with peripheral osteofibroma. Radical surgical operation is that the commonest treatment for this unwellness. This report presents a clinical case of a 35-year-old feminine patient boy with a animal tissue overgrowth on the left 1st articulator molar, that was diagnosed as peripheral odontogenic benign tumor
