Abstract:
Osteosarcoma is that the commonest primary malignant bone tumour that characterised microscopically by formation of osteoid or bone by the growth cells (osteoblastic type) or production of animal tissue (fibroblastic type) and/or a animal tissue (chondroblastic type). Ki-67 macromolecule is gift throughout all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and cell division however is absent from resting cells (G0), makes it a wonderful marker for decisive the thus referred to as growth fraction of a given cell population. However, halide concentration in water shows nice variation between the costal-western region of African country (mean halide concentration one.38ppm) and Cairo-Egypt (0.4ppm). Therefore, the aim of this study is to judge and compare histopathologically the proliferative activity of Osteosarcomas in naturally fluoridated community (Libyan cases) and non-fluoridated community (Egyptian cases) as a retrospective case-control study victimization the labeling index Ki-67. twenty cases of osteogenic sarcoma from every country in an exceedingly formalin-fixed embedded specimens and serial sections from the paraffin blocks for immuno histochemical examination were enclosed during this study during which Peroxidase-antiperoxidase technique was performed.
