A qualitative study of chronic renal failure patients' perceptions of advocacy resources in the context of hemodialysis.

Abstract:

To encounter with issues thanks to the unwellness and treatment, chronic failure (CRF) patients use support varied resources for adjustment. many studies exist regarding this drawback, particularly in Iranian society dialysis patients. This study was performed to clarify perception of CRF patients from support resources in adjustment with dialysis. Methods: This study was conducted with qualitative analysis approach and content analysis methodology in 2009. The participants were sixteen dialysis patients in dialysis ward of Semnan University of Medical Sciences hospitals. Purposive sampling began and continued up to knowledge saturation. Unstructured interview was the most methodology for knowledge assortment. the info were analyzed victimization qualitative content analysis methodology and constant comparative methodology. Results: In content analysis method, finally half-dozen themes emerged that indicated nature and dimensions of patients’ perception from support resources. These themes enclosed one.joining the members of the family, 2.informed trust and hopefulness to Dr., 3.nurses’ sympathy and accountable answerableness, 4.to be inspired with adjusted and transplanted patients, 5.feeling worthy with friends’ friendly relationship, 6.assurance and satisfaction with support organizations. Conclusion: These results will facilitate the managers and arrangeners of health field to facilitate the adjustment of the new patients so in what fields and aims they have to focus and plan.
