Up to 10% of women suffer with PCOS, a condition linked to weight gain, insulin resistance, and maybe a negative body image. Because of the psychological effects of PCOS’s physical symptoms, eating disorders like anorexia nervosa can occasionally result from the illness. Preventing long-term health effects requires early detection and management.
