Aims & Scope
The Journal of Biomedicines is a peer-reviewed, open access biomedicine journal published by Directive Publications that advances translational, molecular, and clinical biomedical research. Spanning the full breadth of the biomedical sciences, the journal connects laboratory discovery with patient-centred application across investigators, clinicians, and educators worldwide.
The journal welcomes original research, reviews, case reports, and editorials in molecular and cellular biomedicine (including noncoding RNA, tRNA- and snoRNA-derived fragments, RNA processing, and sirtuins), cardiovascular biomedicine (cardiac remodeling, myocardial infarction, and coronary artery disease), immunology and autoimmune disease (Th17/Treg balance, systemic sclerosis, and immunomodulation), drug delivery and nanomedicine (biomimetic and nanoparticle-based therapies), and pharmacology and therapeutics. Methodological, translational, and public-health dimensions of these fields are all in scope.
Every submission undergoes rigorous double-blind peer review. Accepted articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, with authors retaining copyright, and are assigned a permanent Crossref DOI to ensure citability and long-term preservation.
Content is discoverable through OpenAlex, Google Scholar, and an OAI-PMH endpoint for harvesting, and the journal follows COPE ethical principles. An article-processing charge applies on acceptance, with waivers and discounts available to support equitable participation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What topics does the Journal of Biomedicines cover?
The Journal of Biomedicines is a broad-scope biomedicine journal covering molecular and cellular biomedicine (noncoding RNA, tRNA/snoRNA-derived fragments, RNA processing, sirtuins), cardiovascular biomedicine (cardiac remodeling, myocardial infarction), immunology and autoimmune disease (Th17/Treg balance, systemic sclerosis, immunomodulation), drug delivery and nanomedicine, pharmacology and therapeutics, and translational and clinical biomedical research.
Who should read and publish in the Journal of Biomedicines?
The journal is intended for biomedical scientists, translational and clinical researchers, pharmacologists, immunologists, cardiovascular and molecular biologists, drug-delivery and nanomedicine investigators, and graduate students seeking an open access venue for rigorous biomedical work. Authors at any career stage, including early-career and global-South researchers, are encouraged to submit.
How do I submit a manuscript to the Journal of Biomedicines?
Authors submit through the journal's submission page following the author guidelines. Manuscripts are screened for scope and ethics, then sent for double-blind peer review. Accepted articles are published open access under CC-BY 4.0 with a permanent Crossref DOI.
What article types does the Journal of Biomedicines accept?
The journal accepts original research articles, review and systematic review articles, case reports, short communications, and editorials across all biomedical subfields, including molecular medicine, cardiovascular research, immunology, drug delivery, nanomedicine, and pharmacology.
Is the Journal of Biomedicines open access, and who holds copyright?
Yes. All articles are open access and free to read worldwide. They are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, and authors retain copyright to their work while permitting reuse with attribution.
How does peer review work at the Journal of Biomedicines?
Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are mutually concealed to support impartial assessment. The journal follows COPE ethical principles for publication integrity, authorship, and handling of corrections and concerns.
Are there publication charges or waivers for the Journal of Biomedicines?
An article-processing charge applies only on acceptance; there are no submission fees. Waivers and discounts are available on request to support authors with limited funding and to promote equitable participation in biomedical scholarship.
Where is the Journal of Biomedicines indexed and how discoverable is it?
Articles receive permanent Crossref DOIs and are discoverable through OpenAlex and Google Scholar, with an OAI-PMH endpoint available for metadata harvesting. As a new journal, Directive Publications is pursuing broader indexing, including preparing for a DOAJ application and working toward eligibility for additional biomedical databases.
