Aims & Scope

World Journal of Otolaryngology is a peer-reviewed, open access otolaryngology journal from Directive Publications, covering clinical and translational research across ear, nose, and throat (ENT) medicine and head & neck surgery. It serves otolaryngologists, head & neck surgeons, audiologists, and residents seeking a citable, internationally accessible venue.

The scope spans otology and neurotology (myringoplasty, otomycosis, chronic otitis media), rhinology and sinus surgery (chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyposis, functional endoscopic sinus surgery), laryngology and voice (laryngopharyngeal reflux, dysphonia, narrow band imaging, dysphagia), and head & neck oncology (HPV-related carcinoma, neck masses). Pediatric ENT and airway foreign bodies are also welcomed.

We publish original research, reviews, case reports, surgical technique notes, and editorials, each undergoing double-blind peer review in line with COPE principles.

Accepted articles publish open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence with authors retaining copyright, receive a permanent Crossref DOI, and are discoverable via OpenAlex, Google Scholar, and our OAI-PMH endpoint.
