Aims & Scope
World Journal of Biology is a peer-reviewed, open access biology journal from Directive Publications, offering an international platform for original research across the life sciences: molecular and cell biology, genetics, microbiology and antimicrobial resistance, ecology and biodiversity, stem cell and developmental biology, and translational biomedical research.
We welcome original research, reviews, case reports, and short communications on topics such as the microbiome and human disease, resistance in Escherichia coli, Klebsiella and Pseudomonas, organoid disease models, stem cell biology, thalassemia and hemoglobin genetics, population dynamics, and biodiversity conservation, using molecular, genomic, ecological, and experimental methods.
The journal serves biologists, microbiologists, geneticists, ecologists, clinicians, and graduate researchers seeking a rigorous, multidisciplinary venue. Every manuscript undergoes double-blind peer review.
Accepted articles are open access under CC-BY 4.0 with authors retaining copyright, receive a permanent Crossref DOI, and are discoverable via OpenAlex, Google Scholar, and an OAI-PMH endpoint. The journal follows COPE ethical principles.
