Aims & Scope
Annals of Urology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Directive Publications and dedicated to clinical and translational scholarship across the breadth of urology. The journal serves urologists, surgeons, residents, and researchers by disseminating rigorous work on endourology and stone disease, uro-oncology, pediatric and congenital urology, reconstructive surgery, andrology, and urinary tract disorders.
The journal welcomes original research, systematic reviews, clinical studies, surgical technique reports, and detailed case reports. Topics of core interest include percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), ureteroscopic lithotripsy and ureteric stricture, urolithiasis and pediatric nephrolithiasis, prostate and bladder cancer, testicular pathology, and minimally invasive and reconstructive urological techniques.
Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review. Accepted articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, with authors retaining copyright, and are assigned a permanent Crossref DOI for citability and long-term preservation. Content is discoverable through OpenAlex and Google Scholar and exposed via an OAI-PMH endpoint for harvesting.
Guided by COPE ethical principles, Annals of Urology aims to be a trusted, internationally accessible venue that advances urological evidence and practice while offering authors a transparent route to publication, with article-processing charges applied on acceptance and waivers or discounts available on request.
