Aims & Scope
The Journal of Orthopedics is a peer-reviewed, open-access orthopedics journal published by Directive Publications, dedicated to advancing clinical and translational research across the musculoskeletal system. The journal disseminates rigorous original scholarship spanning orthopedic surgery, arthroplasty, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, spine, and the biomechanics of bone, joint, tendon, and ligament, connecting surgeons, researchers, and allied practitioners through a trusted international platform.
We welcome original research, systematic reviews, clinical and surgical outcome studies, case reports, technical notes, and editorials. Core topics include total knee and hip arthroplasty, ankle and ligament reconstruction, platelet-rich plasma and regenerative therapies, fracture fixation and trauma management, 3D-printed and patient-specific implants, computer-assisted navigation, gait and motion analysis, and the management of musculoskeletal tumors and degenerative disorders.
Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review. Accepted articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, with authors retaining copyright, and each receives a permanent Crossref DOI. Content is discoverable through OpenAlex and Google Scholar and harvestable via our OAI-PMH endpoint, ensuring citability, reach, and long-term preservation of the orthopedic record.
The journal serves orthopedic surgeons, sports-medicine physicians, biomechanists, physiotherapists, and musculoskeletal researchers worldwide. An article-processing charge applies on acceptance, with waivers and discounts available, and the journal follows COPE ethical principles throughout editorial decision-making.
